Celebrating the Culture in Virtual Reality!

Are you an artist with a passion for showcasing the depth, beauty, and resilience of African American culture through your unique lens? We invite you to be part of Artsz Nexus!

This is an opportunity to display your work for an international audience exploring  virtual worlds on the VRChat platform. We welcome all mediums—whether physical, digital, or virtual—provided they capture the essence of African American culture.

Why Participate?

  • Global Exposure: Your art will be seen by a diverse, global audience within an immersive VR environment.
  • Sales Opportunities: If you create physical artwork, you may submit high-quality digital prints that can be displayed and offered for sale.
  • Cultural Impact: Share your story and perspective in a groundbreaking space designed to amplify African American voices.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Mediums Accepted: Physical (via digital prints), digital, or virtual artworks- .jpg/.jpeg/.png/.fbx
    Paintings, drawing, sculptures, graphic design, fashion design, cosplay, modeling
  • Theme: African American culture as interpreted through your unique artistic voice.
  • Deadlines: Submissions are open and welcome for our exhibit rotation every other month.
    March 30th for April showcase
    May 30th for Juneteenth showcase
    July 30th for August showcase
    September 30th for October showcase
    Nov 30th for Kwanzaa showcase

How to Apply:

Send your submissions, up to 3, to the email provided below. Please include a brief artist statement (100–200 words) about your work and how it reflects African American culture from your perspective. If any submissions are for sale, please include the price and your contact info for our virtual viewers.

Let's celebrate our culture and creativity in a way that transcends boundaries. We can’t wait to see the world through your eyes!

Artist Rights & Purpose Statement

We value and respect the intellectual property of every artist who submits work for consideration. All images, artworks, or digital files submitted remain the sole property of the original artist. The gallery owner will not sell, reproduce, or profit from the submitted works in any way.

This initiative is strictly non-commercial. Any inquiries regarding sales will be directed to the artist, allowing them to handle transactions independently.

Our goal is to create a safe and inspiring virtual hub that celebrates African American culture and serves as a space for People of Color to connect, reflect, and find inspiration. Hosted on the VRChat platform, this gallery is a labor of love designed to uplift voices and foster cultural appreciation.
